In 1981, Pierre himself cleared an entire section of the hillside to create these magnificent terraces and planted the vineyard that would become his icon! It was the first plot created from scratch when Pierre Gaillard began his adventure. This historic site is located on the upper half of the hillside, facing east. The incredible soil of light granite, combined with its exposure, imparts minerality and freshness to the Syrah.

Tasting Notes

Intense red color with garnet highlights, clear and bright.

Intense aromas of ripe black fruits like blackberry and plum, accompanied by pepper and licorice. Floral nuances of violet and smoky notes, woody touches, with a hint of cocoa add aromatic complexity.

An elegant and delicate entry, with remarkable freshness. The flavors of dark fruit are confirmed, enriched with spicy notes and a touch of smoke. The tannins are silky and well-integrated, offering a harmonious structure. A long and persistent finish, marked by notes of pepper and a pleasant freshness, testifies to the minerality of the terroir.
